GEORGE Michael’s cause of death remains unclear after his postmortem came back “inconclusive”.

Further tests into the tragic star’s sudden death will be needed following yesterday’s investigations.

A statement said: “A Post Mortem examination was carried out yesterday as part of the investigation into the death of George Michael.

“The cause of death is inconclusive and further tests will now be carried out. The results of these tests are unlikely to be known for several weeks.

“Thames Valley Police will prepare a file for the Oxfordshire Coroner.

“Mr Michael’s death is still being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.”

George – whose real name is Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou – was discovered in bed at his home in Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, by his partner Fadi Fawaz on Christmas Day.

Devastated Fadi later tweeted: “It’s Xmas i will never forget finding my partner dead peacefully in bed first thing in the morning.. I will never stop missing you xx.”

Tributes have been flooding in from around the world, and a big concert held in George’s name is being planned by his celebrity friends.

Was George Michael murdered for knowing something he shouldn't have? Well, it wouldn't be the first celeb to have been silenced.
